And when it comes to relationships, they are right. I've never even been in a relationship. I think that a partnership between two people who revere each other is extremely sacred. And there, I've shared the largest portion of my story. I spent nearly a decade in a monastery, and after I moved on to a secular life, I went through a culture shock. Even now I'm pretty much a loner. But I thank God that I have a handful of really good, precious friends who remind me often how blessed I am. In so many ways they're correct! God has spoiled me rotten. I'm an artist and writer, and now that I'm retired, I'm working on finalizing several projects that were placed on the back burner years ago. One is a book called, GENERATIONS SHALL CALL THEM BLESSED; a collection of stories, photographs, art, and poetry about the Holocaust. It's a privilege to work on this project. But it hurts. A lot. Enough for now. I am a very honest and frank person, care deeply for anyone I allow into my circle; I'm generous, respectful, and interested in finding someone to share the final years of my life. |
